It's getting late But here is a cool Cinnamon Hummingbird pic from Ambergris Caye, How cool is this!
We were picked up by our guide from Black Rock Lodge at the Belize City ferry terminal and began the drive to the western side of Belize.
We stopped on the side of the road and saw 20 + Great Egrets and Snowy Egrets. Along with 10 Wood Stork and 5 Roseate Spoonbill. Also a Limpkin and Snail Kite, both snail eaters!
At a place we stopped at for lunch we had a great close up view of a Lesser Yellow-Headed Vulture and also a lifer Vermillion Flycatcher!
Along the highway, Fernando pointed out some goodies like this Acorn Woodpecker, a species i have fantasized about seeing since first reading about it in my Peterson as a child.

Also a Fork Tailed Flycatcher! Also seen along the Road to the lodge from the highway were Least Grebes, Brown Jays (so cool), Groove Billed Ani and Summer Tanager among other birds!
Non Birding Break:
Saw a cool armadillo!!!
The highlights for me were definitely the Lessons Motmot pointed out by my dad and the Ornate Hawk Eagle pointed out by Fernando! Those are two seriously awesome birds.
The lodge is just incredible, it is the best birding I have ever done in my life. Louisiana Waterthrush in front of our room, long billed hermit and Stripe throated Hermit feeding at the feeders, dozens of Mangrove swallows. And this was just in the 30 minutes before sunset.
This wasn't my best written post, I am blaming the blogger app for crashing and making me rush, but hope it captures everything important.
Black Rock Lodge has exceeded my wildest expectations.
